Overview
Membership of the society is open to any individual who is interested in issues of human genetics in Africa, including but not limited to issues of education, clinical care, research, public health, ethics, law and policy.
Membership categories
- Regular membership is open to any individual, whether resident in Africa or outside Africa, who is interested in issues of human genetics. Life membership is also available.
- Trainee membership is open to students and trainees enrolled in degree-, diploma- or certificate-granting institutions or other professional training programs such as residency training programmes.
- Honorary membership is granted by the society to individuals who have distinguished themselves in issues concerning human genetics in Africa and who are not members of the society.
