Senegalese Society of Human Genetics – S2GH
The Senegalese Society of Human Genetics (S2GH) was created on August 11th 2016, at the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry of Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. This creation follows the 9th Congress of the African Society of Human Genetics (AfSHG), which Dakar was honored to host, from 15 to 17 May 2016, in partnership with the H3Africa Consortium (Human, Heredity and Health in Africa) and the Cancer Research Group (GERC, UCAD).

- Promoting training and research in Human Genetics
- Organising scientific meetings
- Raising awareness
- Developing diagnostic tools and management of genetic diseases
- Collaborating with all stakeholders involved in Genetics
We invite members from all sectors (public, private or independent), interested in genetics in general, and human genetics in particular, to join our society so that together we achieve the objectives.
