[AfSHG-Listserv] Follow up to earlier message on AfSHGannouncement

Dear Dr. Nash,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, sending the pdf version is
still classified as "distribution" and we must have permission to do
that. It exceeds "making a copy for personal use" and even libraries
need to have permission [and usually pay] to make copies for their
clients or given them access to the pdfs. Aren't institutional
subscriptions wonderful? Anyone working in an institution with
subscriptions does not need to worry about any of these issues. If only
they were not that expensive!

I am optimistic that something will be worked out for us.

I was just wondering if the said "required permission" includes printing
the 
announcement. Otherwise, we might just need to send the pdf version to

that appears not to have access to the journal......just a suggestion !
