[AfSHG-Listserv] Follow up to earlier message on AfSHG announcement

Hello everyone,

Several people have responded to the earlier message on the publication
of the announcement of the AfSHG. A point of clarification is necessary:
the journal (both print and electronic versions) is protected by
copyright. This means copies of the announcement cannot be made and
distributed without permission. We asked those who don't have access to
the journal (through individual or institutional subscriptions) to
indicate because we are trying to obtain permission from Nature Genetics
to get them access and, of course, the journal will want to know how
many people will need such access. I hope this helps.

On another note, while the announcement was published on behalf of the
society, Dr. Patricia Marshall was the main person responsible for
writing the announcement. This is to acknowledge the time and effort she
took to make sure the writing was done and at very short notice, too!
