Membership
of the society is open to any individual who is interested in issues of
human genetics in Africa, including but not limited to issues of
education, clinical care, research, public health, ethics, law and
policy.
There are various categories of membership:
Regular membership
is open to any individual, whether resident in Africa or outside
Africa, who is interested in human genetics in Africa. To register as a
regular member, click here. Regular membership dues are $25 for those working in Africa and $125 for all others.
Trainee membership
is open to students and trainees enrolled in degree-, diploma- or
certificate-granting institutions or other professional training
programs such as residency training programs, click here. Trainee members don't pay membership dues.
Honorary membership
is granted by the society to individuals who have distinguished
themselves in issues concerning human genetics in Africa and who are
not members of the society
Institutional membership
is open to institutions or organizations, within or outside Africa,
interested in issues concerning human genetics in Africa. Institutional
membership dues are $100 for institutions in Africa and $250 for other
institutions. To register as an institutional member, please contact:
