African Society of Human Genetics

The AfSHG 2003 meeting, also known as the "First Annual Workshop/Conference of the African Society of Human Genetics" was held in Accra, Ghana, December 8-10, 2003. The theme was: Biomedical Research in Africa with Emphasis on Genetics. 

Support for the meeting was provided by the National Institutes of Health: Forgarty International Center, National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, National Human Genome Research Institute, and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
